If you are a small business looking for an impressive website to advertise your products or services, but have a tight budget, then I may have the answer for you.
Effective, self-managed websites need not break the bank. Instead of using an expensive agency, I can offer my freelance services to help you achieve your desired website at the right cost.
If you are starting from scratch then here are a few pointers I would recommend to help you get a better idea of what you want from your website.
Take a look at the competitors’ websites
Spend a few minutes looking at websites of your competitors’. See what they’re doing. Jot down things you like, things you don’t like. Look at how many pages they’ve got and have a read of their content. What kind of online services do they offer? The idea of this is that you take the best features of all your competitors and bring them together with a few ideas of your own.
Other attractive websites
Spend some time browsing websites with Google and jot down the address of a few website which you really like the style of and you think would inspire the design of your new website.
List your web pages
Write a draft list of the pages you would want on your website. This only needs to be a draft to help give me a better idea of the size of your website.
Artwork?
Do you currently have any electronic artwork? Any logos, brochures, letterheaders or business cards? If you do, it is wise to marry your website design inline with these to re-enforce your corporate branding.
